This report describes a workshop, sponsored jointly by AwwaRF and UKWIR which addressed issues surrounding the location of multiutility buried pipes and appurtenances.

Delegates at the workshop represented a wide spectrum of research sponsors, users and providers, equipment manufacturers and contractors from the UK, US and the Netherlands. The process followed is described, and outputs from all of the breakout group and individual working sessions is included, culminating in a set of sixteen detailed research proposals. Cost summaries are also included, together with indications of relationships between Topic Areas and Proposals, and their associated benefits.
