Unsolicited Proposal Review Committee Volunteer

The volunteers on the Unsolicited Proposal Review Committee (UPRC) evaluate research proposals to the Foundation's Unsolicited Research Program and make funding recommendations to the board. The program funds basic research that has the potential to lay the groundwork for further research that results in practical, applied technologies for water utilities. More about the UPRC Committee members are selected according to their areas of expertise and experience in the drinking water industry. In addition, geographical and ethnic diversity are considered. The UPRC meets in the Denver, Colo., area in early June to recommend funding of specific proposals to the AwwaRF board of trustees. The board makes the final funding decisions at their meeting in mid-June. AwwaRF covers travel, meal and lodging expenses for the UPRC members to attend the meeting.
